Home Learning

From Nursery to Year 6, we help curiosity flourish, knowledge take root and resilience and confidence grow.

One of the ways we promote this is through the implementation of our Home Learning Policy: we believe that by encouraging our children to demonstrate our value of Ambition by working hard and aiming high to be their very best they can develop the knowledge and scholarly habits needed to achieve life-long success.

Staff set home learning for all children on a Thursday and children complete their assignments for the following Tuesday. As part of this, all children are expected to read for a designated amount of time each evening, preferably with a parent supporting them. On occasion additional home learning is set.

At the beginning of the year staff distribute end of year expectations in Maths, spelling, vocabulary and handwriting.
