Wraparound Care

We aim to provide a safe, high quality, enjoyable and affordable wraparound service for the children of Kingsbury Green Primary School.  Our provision is designed to meet your needs as a busy parent, providing a consistent and quality childcare service.

Our Team

All our staff know the importance of meeting the individual needs of every child. All staff have to successfully complete appropriate medical and safeguarding checks and we ensure there is a good ratio of staff to children.

Activities

Children enjoy coming to our wraparound care because our experienced staff listen to them, talk to them and watch to see what they enjoy doing best. This means that when the children and staff plan what they want to do, they create a programme together that is fun for everyone.

The children can enjoy a range of activities such as: games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, reading, construction (Lego, building blocks etc) small world play (train set, dolls house etc), imaginative play (puppet theatre, dressing up etc).  The children can also do their homework. They make friends from across the school and develop their social and communication skills.

In our breakfast club, we aim to provide a calm start to the school day. The children often help to set the table and good manners are encouraged whilst eating. Some activities we offer in the morning are: mindfulness to get ready for school, art and craft, small construction toys, small world play, jigsaws, board games etc.

Food and Drink Provision

We aim to promote healthy eating and the food we offer reflects this, whilst recognising some children have particular likes/dislikes.  Drinking water is available at all times.

Breakfast is served between 8am and 8.30am.  Children have a choice of cereals, and toast (with a range of spreads).  In addition to water, milk is available to drink.

In After School Club, the children will be offered a hot snack at the club to tide them over until supper time. Water is always freely available.
