Special Educational Needs

We respect and value all children and ensure that children with SEND have full access to the learning opportunities we offer at Kingsbury Green. A fully inclusive ethos runs through the heart of everything that we do, to afford each child with the highest quality learning.

We aim for every child with SEND to be valued, successful, confident, and fully integrated into school life. We believe that diversity is a strength, which should be celebrated by all those who are associated with the school.

Some children, at some time in their school life, may require some extra support for various reasons. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's particular needs, please speak to their class teacher in the first instance.

Our approach is to actively monitor all children so that any difficulties are identified early, and any provision made enables them to make good progress. We adopt a graduated approach to our provision. If you would like to speak to our SEN coordinators for more information, please see below.

All Brent Local Authority (LA) maintained schools have a similar approach to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs /Disabilities and are supported by the LA to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school. All schools are supported to be as inclusive as possible, with the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities being met in a mainstream setting wherever possible.
